Mark Silversmith is a gifted Navajo painter specializing in watercolor as well as oils. Diversity is apparent in his work and he is equally at home painting landscapes, animal scenes, or portraits. His horses, eagles and bears appear alive, showing his familiarity with these animals as well as an understanding of movement and body language.

Fine detail, unusual in a watercolor medium is a hallmark of his work.

Mark has consistently won many awards around the country at judged and juried shows, and has participated for many years at Indian Market in Santa Fe.
